The Covid-19 Mitigation Plan linked to above will serve as our baseline for addressing the ever-changing landscape of the Covid-19 Pandemic. Please note that things change frequently and may require updates to the plan or adjustments in our race-day processes.
Some of the key things to keep in mind are listed below for reference:
Travelers
Be familiar with the Alaska Travel Mandates. Currently, travelers are required to have proof of a negative Covid-19 test taken within 72 hours of departing to Alaska or quarantine upon arrival for 14 days or until a negative result is obtained. Tests can be found for a cost of $250 at the airport upon arrival, but results take 3-5 days to be returned. If you are planning to come to Alaska for the race and will have a short time between arrival and the event, make sure to find a way to get tested prior to departing to Alaska.
Race officials reserve the right to require participants provide proof of a negative Covid-19 test or certification of quarantine adherence from anyone attending from outside of Alaska prior to being admitted to the event venue.
Masks
Masks will be required before and after the event any time racers, spectators, volunteers, or officials cannot maintain proper social distancing. Masks will be required at all pre-race briefings and at the start of the event. Racers will be allowed to remove masks at a designated point shortly after the start of the event.
